All worlds, towns, and cities that are active with builders and in the community are eligible for this award.

Best World for Design
All worlds in the AW universe are eligible for this award. Recipient is chosen based mostly on appearance of world.

Better Building
This award gives master builders a chance to be recognized for their hard work. It is especially important for builders to suggest (see below) their builds for this category.

Superior Programming
This award is for all utilities created for use with Active Worlds.

Top Creative Design (Objects, Textures, or Avatars)
Creative Design can be awarded to a world or individual for outstanding object modeling, texture creation/use, and/or avatar creation.

Non-Profit Contributor (Individual, Group, or World)
This award will be granted to one of AW's many non-profit organizations or persons who offers a service or resource to AW users at no charge.

Community Leader
Leadership covers all users who head up organizations, worlds, towns, and even those people who are just plain helpful in the community.

Greatest Online Resource
Online resource will be awarded to the best internet web site containing information, interactivity, or a unique resource.

Best Use of Innovative Technology (Media, Browser Add-Ons, Web Integration)
This category is flexible and will be awarded to the person(s) who show the best use of available technology in a unique way. This includes "create media," browser add-ons, utilization of web with AW, etc.

Outstanding (Support AW) Staff Award
The Outstanding Staff Award category will be awarded to Support AW's most dedicated team member. Staff from all of SAW's entities, such as AWNews, are eligible.
