We're getting ready for the 3rd annual celebration of technical and creative excellence: The Support AW Awards! See below to learn what you can expect as a guest at the awards.

This year's ceremony will be hosted by Support AW founder maki and Activeworlds, Inc. master artist Stacee.

Venue: World: Maya, Location: Support AW Studio A "Maki: The Maki Kato Show"

Attendance: World limit: 100

Date: Saturday, April 26th, 2008

Time: 11:59PM VRT (MIDNIGHT)
         Pacific: 7PM
         Mountain: 8PM
         Central: 9PM
         Eastern: 10PM

Atmosphere: Associated with the later event time (for US time zones), Maya boasts a night time environment. This promotes a relaxed and warm feeling.

Here are things we're trying this year in addition to improvements over previous ceremonies:

—We'll make sure our mover-based seating actually lets you have a seat this year! (Last year the seating was not built with a caretaker account)

—The venue has been optimized for better visual performance.

—Our object path is now hosted by Activeworlds, Inc. (This is not a sponsorship)

—Support AW Awards feature video and audio.

Note: Check your settings. Make sure "Play sound effects" under the General tab is checked, Download all pictures and Download all audio files under the Downloads tab are checked, and Disbale media URLs under the Downloads tab is NOT checked.

This year, three categories have been modified.

—Superior Programming is now Technical Advancement
     Innovative Technology and Superior Programming were combined to cover a greater number of nominees.

—Innovative Technology was deleted and replaced with Realism
     Realism is a new category dedicated to creations with exceptional true-to-life qualities.

—Outstanding SAW Staff was deleted and replaced with Community Stimulus.
     Community Stimulus is a new category with nominees who make great strides in motivating user participation.
